Children’s Mental Health Week

Today is a grey day
A don’t-want-to-play day
A please-go-away day
They come now and then
A what’s-it-about? day
A scream-and-a-shout day
A just-stick-it-out day
Today’s not my friend
As the week draws to an end for Children’s Mental Health Week, we at STOC believe it is just the beginning. Our children’s mental health and well-being is an integral part of everyday here at STOC. We want our children to be happy and flourish and have the courage to be who they deserve to be. Its vitally important that children are listened too and are given the right tools to make their lives happy and fulfilled.
So many activities were done, music, computer work, mindful colouring – to name a few. There was also a very long paper chain that was keeping the children connected together. It was strips of paper that the children wrote how they are connected to each other, connected to nature or connected to sport. The week was also chance for the children to realise that having a small break from learning is actually good for them! 4A certainly enjoyed their hot chocolate and marshmallows during Thursday's Well-being Afternoon!!!!
