National Poetry Day 2022

Wow, we have had so much fun in school today!  The poetic juices have been in full flow! 

As part of National Poetry Day's theme, "Environment", the children have been creating some lovely poems about nature, our surroundings, recycling etc.  The children have also been doing some Acrostic poetry, which has been amazing!

6B used the outside classroom to get inspiration for their poems.  "A gentle breeze whistles through the jagged branches of the weeping willow tree" - where was I? That's right the childrens' poetry!!!! Even I am in a poetic mood today!!!! 

Well done to everyone for their outstanding effort.   Pure poetry in motion!
