Reception Cooking Potato Latkes

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 pounds russet potatoes (3 to 4 potatoes)
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion
  • large egg
  • tablespoons matzo meal or unseasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • cup canola oil or chicken schmaltz, or a combination of both
  • Applesauce and sour cream, for serving

 

Reception A and Reception B had a wonderful time in the DT Room this morning!  They cooked some potato latkes!  The children have been reading a book called Supa Tato and it was a great opportunity to have some fun with potatoes (and delicious too).

The children had a great time and enjoyed the latkes.
