WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2025

IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH
- It is important to be mentally healthy because our daily lives, activities, and relationships are affected by it.
- Our physical health may also be affected by mental health – the two are not mutually exclusive.
- The well-being of a person is not measured by physical health only, but by his or her mental health as well.
- Mental illness knows no age, gender, ethnicity, or social class.
- Every person must take their mental health seriously because it is essential to a good and fulfilling life.

Today we have highlighted the importance and to raise awareness of World Mental Day. This year's theme is "Access to Services - Mental Health in Catasrophes and Emergencies". We are specifically supporting YoungMinds. Wearing yellow for mental health is part of #HelloYellow, a campaign by the YoungMinds charity for World Mental Health Day to show young people they are not alone and raise money for mental health support. Participating involves wearing one item of yellow, donating to the cause, and spreading awareness by showing solidarity with those struggling.
Ms Marc talked at our Assembly about YoungMinds and the children were very respectful and listened with care.
Thank you to everyone for their contributions towards this very worthwhile charity. You are amazing and we could not do fundraising without your kind support.
