Year 1 Castles Day

 

 

The Queen of Hearts,  

She made some tarts,  

 All on a summer's day. 

The Knave of Hearts,   

He stole the tarts,  

And took them clean away.

The King of Hearts, 

Called for the tarts,  

And scolded the knave full bore.

The Knave of Hearts, 

Brought back the tarts, 

And vowed he'd steal no more.

 

   

Year 1 have had an AMAZING Castle Day.  As part of their History Topic which is Castles, they have been doing lots of great learning.  Today they children are dressed as Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses and they look fantastic.  During the day they decorated their crowns, had a Castle trivia quiz, made chocolate rice cakes fit for a King and then during the afternoon they had a big Banquet with lots of tasty treats AND so much dancing!

Wow, it was an exhausting day being a member of the Royal House!
