Year 2 Explorers Day 2025
Binoculars at hand, map and compass ...
then let's go .....

Little boy, with your eyes so blue,
You see the world so shiny and new.
He hugs his mummy, leaves his daddy's knee.
Time to explore; so much to see.
Little boy, with your eyes so blue,
So much courage, your fears are few.
Will you climb a mountain or brave the sea?
What's your wonder? Which will it be?
Little boy, with your eyes so blue,
Did your travels bring knowledge to you?
Are you weary, do you want to go home?
Are you destined to forever roam?
Little boy, with your eyes so blue,
Imagination so big, your yard is too.
Where are you going? Where will you be?
Hugging mummy from daddy's knee.
Our Year 2 became children became Explorers for the day today! As part of their Geography topic, Explorers, the children are a fun day – exploring!
They are dressed in their best Explorer outfits and are making compasses, designing postcards, taking part in an explorer trail and quiz around the school grounds and at the end of the day they are even having an Explorers party! Wow!!! Its such a busy day! It certainly is hard working being an Explorer!
