The Peace Child
The Peace Child centres on two opposing tribes who seem unwilling to put an end to their enmity.
The Sattongi tribe live life at a fast pace and enjoy hunting and exercise. And on the other side of the river live the Wanakiki tribe.
They live life at a much slower pace, believing relaxation and poetry are the most important things in life. Only the gift of a new-born child can bring peace between the two rival factions.
Our lovely Year 5 children performed this powerful story to the rest of the school and parents/guardians. They sang, danced and said their lines perfectly! It certainly was a tear-jerking moment!!!!
Well done Year 5 children and staff!
The Peace Child is such an inspiring story that will empower the children to imagine how they will change the world for the better in their lifetimes.
