The Changing Tide
Once in the sea, so long ago,
Little fishes swam to and fro.
But some got brave and walked on land,
With sturdy legs and tiny hands.
Some grew fur to keep out cold,
Others learned to be quite bold.
Through sun and rain, a quiet change,
Making life both new and strange.
From small beginnings, all in time,
Growing from the mud and slime.
A leaf, a beast, a bird on high,
All changing underneath the sky!

Year 6 have had a wonderful day at the Natural History Museum today as part of their Science topic this term. The topic is called, Our Green World. The workshop we attended was about Biodiversity - A practical science session where pupils use microscopes to sort and classify insect specimens, interpret data, and solve a problem. They also explored the museum’s fossil collection as in science our topic is about evolution and inheritance.
The children and staff have a fantastic day!
